The customer must have a telephone line that is able to receive calls. To place an international call, the customer, using a touch-tone phone, dials an access number -- a US telephone number provided by telecompit . After one ring, the customer hangs up. Because this initial "trigger call" never connects, there is no charge to the customer. As each customer is given a unique access number, the telecompit system automatically knows whom to call back. After triggering the access number, the customer can expect the system to call back to the pre-assigned telephone number within a few seconds. The customer immediately hears a voice prompt from the telecompit system the call back is answered. Upon hearing the prompt, the customer may dial to nearly any international destination in the world. If the customer wishes to place another call, it is not necessary to hang up and start over. By pressing the * (star) key twice, the customer hears the voice prompt again and is able to dial another destination. Call Types Because we recognize that some businesses and individuals may require more flexibility with their service, telecompit offers several Call Type options ? Direct, Automated Switchboard, Human Operator, and Personal Message. A Direct call back is simply the standard service option described in the above instructions. It works best with residential accounts or business accounts where the telephone is able to receive calls. An Automated Switchboard call back is designed for businesses with a switchboard or PBX that intercepts all incoming calls and expects an extension number to be entered. The Human Operator call back is for locations, such as offices or hotels, where a live, human operator answers all calls. Our system will automatically tell the operator which extension or room number the call should be transferred to. With the Personal Message type, a customized greeting can be recorded and played upon answering the call back. |
